ABOUT THE POSITION

Swedish Diamondtool Consulting (SDC) is a Swedish company specialized in the manufacturing and sale of diamond tools, primarily for the construction and mining industries. With roots in Hagby Bruk AB and over 40 years of experience, the company combines expertise and innovation to deliver sustainable and high-quality tools. Their range for the construction industry includes products such as diamond drill bits and grinding tools, designed to handle challenging materials like concrete. For the mining industry, they offer specialized tools such as rods and crowns, measuring instruments, and equipment for drilling and ground reinforcement. With several facilities in Sweden, where both production and headquarters are located in Nora, they provide first-class service and tailored solutions for professional users. The company has a total of about 30 employees, of which 20 work in Nora.

As the company's current product developer in metallurgy approaches retirement, we are now looking for his replacement. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Tasks

As a product developer at SDC, you will have a broad role with responsibility for driving the development and improvement of the company's products forward. If you are junior, this is something you will grow into. You will collaborate with designers, salespeople, the production department, and customers to develop, improve, and ensure the quality of both manufacturing processes and products. You will work with both the existing product catalog and customized solutions.

In this role, you will face a varied everyday life with great freedom and the opportunity to shape the role. In the long run, you will also have the chance to broaden your responsibilities and deepen your knowledge. This could include everything from design work to broader quality work.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a post-secondary education with a focus on metallurgy, materials technology, or equivalent
Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Has a B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have previous experience from similar roles, such as product developer, materials technician, process engineer, quality engineer, or metal designer.

Start: By agreement
Scope: Full-time. If you are at the end of your studies, there is also the possibility to start part-time and also the opportunity to write your thesis at SDC
Location: Skarpskyttevägen 6, Nora. For the role, you need to be on-site in production, hybrid work is therefore not applicable
